The successive owners who have preserved with passion its exceptional architecture have carefully kept this residence as an historic listed monument.
We have been inspired to continue the long-term projects of our predecessors and to carefully look after the last impressive and enduring parts of one of the most beautiful Chateaux of the Loire Valley. The Chateau de Chavigny was built in 1635 by Pierre Le Muet, architect of the King of France, and for two Cardinal Richelieu' s friends, the Bouthilliers.
The Chateau was partially destroyed at the beginning of the XIX th century.
Another part of this chateau is the chapel which shelters a remarkable carved decoration, covering its dome and its walls. Executed in 1643, it’s a spectacular example of the particular style of art during the century referred to as “ le grand Siècle”. It can be visited upon request.
In the heart of the Loire Valley, live unique moments in a magnificent setting.
The employees of the Chateau lived in the "Clos" part of the property, which has kept its outside architecture as well as its huge fireplaces. The formal listed garden and its swimming pool are the indispensable complements to enjoy your stay in Touraine in a setting worthy of a Loire valley Chateau.
The period furniture and art pieces which adorn the rooms give a unique character and a rare authenticity to the residence. A warm atmosphere reigns here, hushed and tinged with a very discreet refined luxury.
Guests have the use of one sitting room, a dining room, a library , billiard room and a fitness room.
An excellent situation in the heart of the vineyards and the Loire Chateaux.
